A Word from Brigit

Bee friendly! It's over a week since we packed up the bus and drove it home after the Malvern Spring Gardening Show, but I've only just begun to stop buzzing!

It really was an amazing four days (despite the rain!) and between us we must have spoken with thousands of people over the duration of the show about a variety of issues - from bees, permaculture and wormeries to sustainable agriculture, peak oil and microgeneration. Everyone's questions and interests were different, but between us we seemed to have the expertise and/or experience to offer advice and engage in conversation with everyone we spoke with.

Big Green Bus with NatracareOur team worked tirelessly throughout the show (not to mention during the build up) and have left me positively bursting with pride. I'd like to thank each and every one of them for giving 100 per cent of their energy and commitment and for working so cohesively with each other...I am in awe of what we achieved.

So, in no particular order, thank you to Charlotte, Owen, Clare, James, Holly, Jim, Anne-Christine, Becks, Mike, Grenville, Ginny, Rachel, Woody, Jo, Gary, Mark, Rob, Sally, Jenson, Sharna and our special guests Rachel Corby and Mark Boyle.

WeledaI'd also like to thank Bridget and Will from Caves Folly who invited us to come to the show and who ran the ‘Eco-homes and Organic Gardening' area where we were parked up, as well as our lovely sponsors Natracare and Weleda. Last, but definitely not least, I'd like to thank our local branch of Waitrose for providing us with sandwiches for all our staff and volunteers over the entire four days and with ingredients for our pedal powered smoothies... it saved us a fortune!

One final thank you goes to all the lovely people who have supported us thus far by making donations and giving so generously of their time and expertise, so that we were able to deliver at such a big event. It's amazing what people can achieve when they work together towards one common goal!
