DIARY of green events

From the Editor...

I love this time of year. I always feel it is a time for reflection, looking back over the warm summer months and preparing for the long winter ahead.  It's full of contradictions though. Winter is drawing in, mornings are dark and cold (and my bed is consequently very warm) but as I type this, I have just come inside after sitting in the garden basking in the warm sunshine and listening to the slugs merrily munching on the last of the ripening tomatoes.

It's a million miles away from the cold, wet weekend that the Bus was finally launched onto an expectant public. I managed to get there along with several other volunteers... read the Big Bradford or Bust! article and discover how the day went.

If you are battling the elements this autumn, have a look at Wren's recipes for some warming seasonal treats that capture the last of the summer sunshine. And once again, 'out of the mouths of babes', nine-year-old Lauren's article on recycling shows us just how inspirational our young people can be.                                                                 Jo  x

Did we make it??  Find out here...  full update
