From the Editor…
I don’t want to tempt fate…but it looks like the seasons have finally turned, the days are getting longer and the sun’s warmth is returning. After what has seemed like a never ending winter, and the coldest in 31 years, it is time for the bountiful warmth of spring and early summer to bring some sunshine back into our lives.
So celebrating the sun is the theme of this newsletter. And as we bask in the warmth of the early spring and summer sunshine, we also welcome two new writers. Steph leads us through her footsteps into foraging and Suki shows us how being green really does save you money.
Newsflash! The BGI’s 2010 season is opening on a big high. We are lucky enough to be attending the Malvern Spring Garden Show, from the 6th to 9th May at the Three Counties Showground. Do try to come along, if you can, to meet Brigit and lots of other BGI regulars, attend some amazing bus workshops and learn what other wonders the bus has to offer.

Letters
With Easter not far away and the prospect of feeding the impending hordes of family visitors at get-togethers a very real one, Nick from London wrote in to say:
‘Here is a great recipe for chicken crumble. It is really easy to make, especially as you can swap the chicken breasts for an equal quantity of leftover chicken from a roast dinner. I make it when we have family staying and have also used turkey instead of chicken. It works equally well.’
