Bishops Wood Eco Festival - 4th July 2009, 10.00am - 3.00pm

Organised by the Friends of Bishops Wood,a charity set up to support the work of the Bishops Wood Centre, the day will be a celebration of sustainability at which Brigit and the Big Green Bus will be a prominent feature. Enjoy talks, displays, games, performances, art galleries, sustainable food and much more, in an amazing festival atmosphere, The culmination of a series of Eco-Schools events, including visits to several by the BGI bus.

The centre is located within a 39-hectare site which includes 17 hectares of ancient woodland and a field of 11 hectares which was planted to re-create mixed broadleaf woodland, meadows and other habitates.

Bishops Wood is recognised nationally and internationally for its work in environmental and sustainability education with schools and for its training courses.
