The exciting news is that the very popular Big Green Gathering is back for 2009! What is it? The Big Green Gathering is a five-day camping event which is currently located in the Mendip Hills in Somerset. It has grown out of the original Green Gatherings of the 1980s and the Green Fields of Glastonbury Music Festival. Energy Saving Week hosted by the Energy Saving Trust
Energy Saving Week is a unique, annual event hosted by the Energy Saving Trust. This year's Energy Saving Week takes place from 20th to 26th October. 2008 is the event's twelfth year. The Energy Saving Trust is the UK's leading organisation set up to address the damaging effects of climate change by helping everybody to cut carbon dioxide emissions - the main greenhouse gas causing climate change - from their homes.

The Big Green Bus at the Bradford-on-Avon Green Fair!
It's finally happened! The Big Green Bus hit the road with a weekend date in Bradford-on-Avon. Pupils and teachers from Fitzmaurice School enjoyed an exclusive day on the bus on Friday, then it was all hands on deck (top deck or bottom, it didn't matter !) as the first Big Bradford Green Fair opened its doors to the public and Brigit and her volunteer team welcomed the world... National Carbon Footprint Day
Award winning environmentalist Donnachadh McCarthy is launching the world’s first ever National Carbon Footprint Day on Thursday, 2nd of October.
Having made his 1840s Camberwell terrace home into London’s first carbon negative home, he wants to encourage millions of others to do likewise, by launching an annual day when people will be encouraged to pledge to measure and reduce their annual carbon footprints.
