Some of you may already know that Brigit has decided to step down as the CEO of the Big Green Idea charity and the rest of the core support team have backed a decision to wind the charity up. Bumble Bee Conservation Trust up for Lottery Award!

The Bumble Bee Conservation Trust are up for a National Lottery Award! They have reached the final three in the hotly contested 'Best Environment Project' and are now up for the public vote against 'Laganscape' and 'Millenium Country Park' . With Brigit passionately believing in the plight of bees and backing the work of the BBCT she hopes you will support them by voting for them too! Never ones to miss an opportunity, we've invited some of them into 10:10 HQ in Camden to tell us about their work and share some thoughts on environmental issues great and small. Brigit’s Big Bee Talk at ‘Buzz’ - 9th June 2010

' "Buzz" - A Celebration of British Bees and their Flowers' is an exhibition of bee paintings and drawings by Valerie Littlewood at the Lumen Gallery in London, and the perfect stage for Brigit to talk about the plight of these vital insects. Entitled ...Bee Aware!!!, Brigit will explain the importance of (and the differences between) Honey bees, Bumble bees and Solitary bees, address the myriad problems they face and offer loads of tips to allow you to go home and help them! Expect this talk to be inspiring,informative and passionate at the very least... More

Brigit talks Bees - The Garden Festival, Hellens Manor, Much Marcle, Herefordshire.

The Garden Festival at Hellens Manor, Much Marcle takes place over the weekend of 12 - 13th June and the theme this year is 'Gardening for Wellbeing'. According to the organisers "Gardens are a constant source of joy and pleasure as well as offering many physical benefits. Just 30 minutes in the garden can burn as many calories as an aerobic exercise. Gardening has the all round, mind, body and spirit, feel good factor!" Brigit is speaking in the Small Barn at 1.15pm on the Saturday and will be 'buzzing' about bees! More
