The most delicious chocolate in the world

I’ve just come back from a long weekend in London (went to see Fleetwood Mac concert as a belated 50th birthday treat from my daughter Charlotte) and although I don’t think I would ever want to live there, I’m green with envy having seen the amazing variety of market food on offer all over the city. And I think I may just have discovered what I believe to be the most delicious chocolate in the world!!!

We were wandering around Stoke Newington Organic Farmers Market yesterday and spotted Anthony Ferguson, who appears with his family in the photo on this link, selling his handmade organic chocolate. He lets you taste them all before buying, which is good because they are quite expensive compared to what I’m used to paying for chocolate, but the problem is that having tasted them it is impossible not to buy!!! I bought a couple of each flavour including unusual combinations such as ‘lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper’ and ‘coffee and cardamom’. I’m eating them now with a cup of tea and seriously….they are truly sublime. I’m so glad I have his email details because I’m not going to be able to wait till next time I go to London to have these chocolates again.

If you live in London it’s well worth a trip out to Stoke Newington on a Saturday, not only for the chocs but also for all the other wonderful and delicious food stalls at the market. If you do go, don’t leave without visiting the hauntingly beautiful graveyard because it is a perfect example of how nature reclaims whatever we allow her to…

The Farmers Market is a part of the ‘growing communities’ project which is also well worth reading about, so make sure to take a good look around the website I’ve linked to.

P.S…..Fleetwood Mac were even more amazing than the chocolates!!!!
