The march was an amazing thing to be a part of. There were men, women and children of all ages from all over the UK, including a huge amount of people who have never marched before who just want their voices to be heard. I have no way of knowing how effective marches like this are, but I'm glad I went because it made a difference to me. More →

It's late evening on Saturday 28th November - ‘Buy Nothing Day' - and I've just come back from an amazing (and FREE!) day out in Bristol. Mark Boyle and other members of the ‘freeconomy' community had set themselves the seemingly impossible task of gathering together enough ingredients, with no cash changing hands, to provide a feast for 300+ people for free... and they succeeded! I've just been reading our November newsletter and thinking how wonderful it would be to get all our regular writers in the same place, at the same time, to pick their brains on the subjects they all know and write about so well.
